Louis J. Durkin, MD, FACEP, FAAEM
Dr. Durkin is a Board Certified Emergency Physician and EMS Director at Mercy Medical Center in Springfield, MA.  A former firefighter and EMT in college, he then received his MD degree from State University of New York Health Science Center at Brooklyn in Brooklyn, NY.  In addition, Lou is the EMS Director for many of the Fire / Ambulance services in Western Massachusetts.  Lou is also medical director for the MedicEd.com AHA Training Center.  He is a member of the National Association of EMS Physicians.  Lou is the medical director and treasurer as well as co-founder of MedicEd.com. 


Michael E. Stevens, PA-C, CRTT
Mr. Stevens is Associate Chief of Emergency medicine Solutions a private ED group staffing Mercy Hospital in Springfield. He received his PA degree from Springfield College in Springfield, MA.  Before becoming a physician assistant, Mike was an EMT in the Boston area for seven years.  In addition to his certification as a physician assistant, Mike holds a current license in respiratory therapy.  He is the president and co-founder of MedicEd.com.


Michelle E. Duffelmeyer, MD
Dr. Duffelmeyer has been an instructor at Springfield College for both the Emergency Medical Services Management and Physician Assistant programs.  She is a Board Certified with the American Board of Internal Medicine and has previously been affiliated with an internal medicine practice in East Longmeadow, MA.  Michelle received her MD degree from State University of New York Health Science Center at Brooklyn in Brooklyn, NY.  Michelle is the vice president and a co-founder of MedicEd.com.


Kelly Hart
Ms. Hart graduated from University of Hartford with a Bachelor of Science in Business Administration with a degree in Marketing.  As a managing partner of MedicEd.com, Kelly handles the day-to-day operations including customer support and interaction with state and national governing bodies.


Stephanie Stevens, OTR/L
Mrs. Stevens is a pediatric occupational therapist.  She has worked in diabetic research and with adults with developmental and physical disabilities.  Stephanie is the secretary and works with our web development team constantly updating and improving our serve.

James Scliopou, MS, PA-C, NRP
As a consultant and contributing author to MedicEd.com, Jim brings over a decade of emergency medicine education and experience.  He is currently a partner of Emergency Medicine Solutions, LLC and practicing as a physician assistant in emergency medicine. Jim continues to work closely with local fire and EMS doing education. Jim is a graduate from Springfield College and earned his bachelor degree in EMS Management and a master degree in healthcare management.  


Richard A. Craven, Jr., NRP, CCEMT-P, I/C
Rich holds a bachelors of science in EMS Management from Springfield College and is certified as a Nationally Registered and Critical Care Paramedic. He is a full-time West Springfield FireFighter and is the Program Coordinator for MedicEd.com. Rich brings over 14-years experience in EMS and has been a past recipient of the EMS Educator of the year for Western Massachusetts. Rich is also the MedicEd.com AHA Training Center Coordinator.


Christopher Bartone, Paramedic
C.J. holds a bachelors of science in EMS Management from Springfield College and is a Paramedic / Lieutenant for the West Springfield Fire Department. CJ functions as Training Center Faculty for the American Heart Association Training Programs for MedicEd.com. CJ has also had several years as a teaching assistant for the many EMT and Paramedic training programs that were conducted in Western MA in the years' past.
